Douche Bag, Asshole, Jerkoffs and Scumbags....this has been the biggest buzz besides Fashion Week & the season finale of True Blood...Kanye creates controversy again and we love him for it....I mean whole else can get on stage and pull off a tribute to all the scumbags in the world and take pride in it. We wouldn't accept Kanye any other way! So here's a "toast" to you Kanye...I love your sense of confidence, I love your songs, and ah yeah..I love your sense of style besides you only Santa can pull off a red suit! This is a fresh take on a man's suit..the beauty of it is it's meant to be worn casually. Loved the whole effect of the pop of red against the black & white stripes of the stage. Kanye has some fcuk ups every now & then, but when it comes to fashion he knows his ish! Let's face it...he makes a STATEMENT in ALL SENSES of the word.

WHAT I WORE: GETTIN' SKINNY WIT IT..NA NA NA NA NANA

Dear Curvy Ladies,

You don't have to be "skinny" to wear skinny jeans despite what the fashion industry says. Now I don't agree with squeezing into something that's just not your size. Anyone who knows me can tell you my legs...especially my calves were not made for most pants period! Especially ones made for 5"10 waif models. However, I like to think of myself as a model regardless...after all life is a runway show...well ok...I'm may be stretching it, but NYC is definitely a catwalk...my catwalk.

Here's the tricky part...now IF you can manage to get yourself into a pair of skinny's like I did...eventhough to be honest...I had someone pick me up from the waist like a puppet to get in them...the KEY to curvy girls and skinny jeans is proportion. In other words balance your top with the bottom.

DO:

Wear a heel to add length to your legs

Wear an oversized flowy waist length sweater if you want to show off the rump, so that the fullness on top balances the bottom to make it look thinner

Layer tops to create balance as well

DON'T:

Wear an ankle or knee high boot that's too high and cuts off the length of your legs
Wear a shirt that's too long that will also cut off your length

A top too small and too tight that will make your skinny jeans not look so skinny

Go get skinny wit it!

TREND REPORT: MEN'S LOOKS FALL 2010

Excuse the blog layout...working on it, but I can't let such things as templates stop me from fashion blogging!

I'm always writing about women, women, and more women in fashion, but that doesn't mean I'm not in touch with my masculine side...tomboy... whatever you want to call it. After all, I've mentioned in the past that I actually appreciate men's fashion more than women's. There's more art that goes into it in my opinion. With Spring 2010 NYC Fashion Week approaching on September 9, 2010, I will highlight some of my fave looks for men. Until then, I want to show you 3 of my favorite looks from H&M Fall 2010 Magazine men's line.

College Prep meets Jimmy Dean : The play of only 2 simple colors...black & blue yet the l

look pops out at you. Love how the light hue of the blue shoes highlights the navy cardigan.

European Look: Who knew you can make a plaid shirt look so sharp! If you can get past the grungy beard which is part of this whole look. Lets admire the Cabernet hue in the reddish brown oxford shoes with belt to match. Long pea coats are always a fashion investment & this one is extra sharp as the heather grey lining adds nice contrast.

Grunge/Rocker/NYC Lower East Sider : Last but not least the laid back kind of guy that doesn't try too hard, his look just comes together naturally. If you don't own a vintage denim buttoned down shirt by now...go get one...even you ladies....love it layered under the blazer , rolled up sleeves for a rebel look, and leather bracelet...yes even men look sexy in accessories.

Ok, so I decided if I like it, love it, and it's related to fashion I'm sooo going to call it out even if it isn't the next biggest trend, buuuuuttttttt in this case besides Kim K's sexy maroon bodacious body con dress with Louboutin Leopard Peep toes to give it that WOAH factor, I'm so loving the Leopard trend and always have! Every girl should own something Leopard. Whether it's nice and subtle like a clutch or ballet flats or bold and sexxxxy in stilettos or dress. Bring out your wild side!

Ok so I'm obsessed with tutu's! From Carrie Bradshaw's Versace Couture princess tu tu in the last SATC episode when she was stood up by Aleksandr Petrovsky in Paris to the voluminous lilac taffetta skirt in Sex and The City II the movie, and all the little girls out there that love to wear their tutu's anytime and anywhere....now Shakira dances her way into the romantic trend in a hot pink tu tu for a late July photoshoot the only way she knows best...subtle yet sexy...Hay Mamasita!

Girls just wanna have fun & little girls aren't the only ones who want to dress like ballerina's and princesses! You know how they say "always the bridesmaid never the bride." ? Well Cameron Diaz makes us all wish we could be the bridesmaid in the yellow satin taffeta dress she wears in the Summer 2010's "Knight and Day".

MTV MOVIE AWARDS 2010 FASHION FAVE

With Sex and The City 2 in theaters, besides the fun, friendship, and fashion, talk after the movie has been can there be fashion after 40? Sarah Jessica Parker as herself and Carrie Bradshaw has proven this beyond a shadow of a doubt throughout the years.

Well at the MTV Movie Awards, talk is always about the awards, the jokes, the performances and yes yes, the fashion. MTV serves as a platform for celebs to show their fun, edgy side of fashion and the youth in us all.

Miss SJP at the age of 43 ROCKED an outfit most 25 year olds could wear at the 2008 MTV Movie Awards.

This year Sandra Bullock at 46 gets my vote as BEST DRESSED at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards...I don't know which was HOTTER Sandra or the black sparkle backless Oday Shakar dress? I have to say it was both, but she definitely made the dress shine, even if she had gone against Betty White's advice not to wear it backwards lol
