There's something to be said about the elegance women held back in the day. Here, Elsie is strolling along Harlem on what seems to be an ordinary day, yet her overall style is very much classy and demure. A simple white dress that hits below the knee along with dainty white gloves tucked behind the clutch she holds in her hand.
