While my friend was browsing through my camera pics of the Mermaid Parade, she said 'So what's this have to do with fashion ?" Everything. Everything influences fashion just as much as many of the costumes were influenced by what's already out there. It was amazing to see people's interpretation of Nautical. Styles varied from the Victorian Era, Country Western, Middle Eastern, Goth, Ravers, Burning Man Music Festival, Asian & Spaniard influences, Madonna's Torpedo Bra days, Military, Hippie, 80s...it was all there and accessories accessories accessories.
