TREND REPORT: RHYTHM NATION

Grammy's 2010 theme was space age/military seen in performances by The Black Eyed Peas, Beyonce, Jaime Foxx, and Lady Gaga, with influences by Michael Jackson's flashy military attire to reflections of the Civil War.
These images takes us back to 1989, Janet Jackson's, Rhythm Nation music video (Janet Jackson - Rhythm Nation Video - Contactmusic.com) which addressed the social injustices in the world we lived in then. Today, almost 2 decades later we find ourselves in a similar situation as Janet's lyrics say, "People of the world are we looking for a better way of life...we are a part of the Rhythm Nation."
Trends come and go and come back again, yet the military trend always stands a post....strength in numbers...United We Stand!
